Countdown to VanLife: 27 days

 Countdown to VanLife: 27 days

We bought a Skoolie! While it has been a fun experience so far, it has been anything but easy. We've had issues with towing, insurance, registration nightmares, and a dead battery. We still need to get an inspection sticker to complete the process of getting road legal.

We have more than enough projects to do before we get out of here and get on the road. We are working on a massive declutter of the entire apartment. I'm trying to take a bag out with me every time I leave, either trash or donation.

Things I have learned while decluttering: I have a massive addiction with buying office supplies. Like scary! I thought my problem was planners. This was "fine", but more manageable than I expected. Then I was thinking it was purses. Nope, that was manageable as well. But the office supplies.... eek! It still remains to be a work in progress.

We already have the storage unit reserved and ready to move things into. Probably 2 weeks away from renting a moving vehicle and moving the furniture and things in.

Today we were able to knock out our first project in the bus itself. There was a hand rail/ front seat panel that we were able to remove. I did not understand the full extent of this project and it scared the hell out of me. It was not only smelly and VERY loud, but there were sparks flying all over the bus and I was terrified it was going to catch on fire. Everything is ok and safe. Thank goodness one of us has years of experience using grinders because I hid in the back with my eyes closed and fingers in my ears. I get drinks and clean up trash like no one's business though! You should see me hold a flashlight.

Hoping to fix the battery issue and get the inspection by tomorrow. It would be nice to be able to go for a drive and get used to driving it.
